Nick joined the Grant Thornton UK audit department in January 2010. He qualified as a chartered accountant (ACA) in December 2012. He provides assurance and advisory services to a wide range of UK GAAP and IFRS clients across various sectors, developing a focus on healthcare, not for profit and financial services. He leads and coaches teams of up to 8 juniors using his rigorous project and financial management skills, including controlling budgets and preparing reporting timetables and delivering reports.
In January 2014 Nick transferred to the Restructuring and Debt Advisory department in Grant Thornton’s London office, working with companies challenged by underperformance. His current role involves considerable project management exposure, dealing with multiple stakeholders including management teams, shareholders, lenders and others to develop and implement financial restructuring solutions creating a stable platform for business turnaround.
Nick is a keen sportsman and fitness enthusiast, and has been fortunate enough to spend several years travelling the globe and living overseas. In September 2012 he led a team (one of five teams from Grant Thornton) which took part in the Three Peaks Challenge for the Street Games charity. They climbed the UK's 3 highest peaks (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon) in under 24 hours raising over £5,000, a great result for Street Games.
